Hi! We are Jose and Allyse Chavez, co-owners of JC Stoneworks. Our journey began with a shared passion for creativity in all things stone, and we have built our business from the ground up as a husband-and-wife team.
Our story started in 2016 when we decided to take a leap of faith. With only $1000, a business idea, and a newly purchased 2005 Gold Econo Van, we embarked on our entrepreneurial journey. Initially, small side jobs turned into significant contracts, and within a year, we established our own shop and became a full-fledged fabrication business. This rapid growth and our unwavering dedication transformed JC Stoneworks into the thriving family business it is today.
We pride ourselves on being a true startup. Our initial investments were modest, focusing on used tools and equipment. However, by consistently reinvesting our profits, we have gradually upgraded to new vans, tools, and machines. The phrase “The Gold Van” has become a motto for us, symbolizing our humble beginnings and the importance of starting within our means. This principle has been integral to our success and growth.
Our family has been involved in every step of this journey. Our four children have witnessed the long nights, weekends, and holidays spent building the business. Their involvement and support have made this a true family endeavor.
Our secret to working together effectively is our “Divide and Conquer” strategy. While we both manage the business on a day-to-day basis, we ensure not to encroach on each other’s responsibilities. Our complementary skill sets are key to our success. Allyse focuses on ideas, sales, finances, HR, marketing, and strategic direction, while Jose, with over 21 years of industry knowledge, oversees all operations from template to installation, earning the reputation of a countertop magician.
When we aren’t working, we enjoy spending time with our four children. Our family loves outdoor activities, camping, traveling to Hawaii and Mexico, and participating in watersports.

As the owner of JC Stoneworks, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to where we are today. This business is more than just a company; it is a labor of love built on the foundation of hard work, dedication, and family. My kids have been there with me every step of the way, day in and day out, contributing to the growth and success of our business.
From the start, these kids were 100% involved in this venture and witnessed the blood, sweat, and tears that went into building this company from the ground up. Whether helping with small tasks or offering encouragement during tough times, they sacrificed a lot to ensure we could create something meaningful.
These kids have been my motivation and a vital part of our team. Their contributions have made a significant impact on our operations and culture. As we continue to grow in the industry, I am proud to say that my kids are an integral part of this journey.
