Hi! We are Jose Chavez and Allyse Bogue, co-owners of JC Stoneworks. We are a husband and wife team, with a passion for creativity in all things STONE!
Quartz is one of the hardest minerals on Earth, known for its durability and versatility. Quartz is a crystalline mineral that is often used in various applications, including countertops, flooring, and decorative elements. Quartz is a non-porous and natural surface, composed of 93% raw natural material, stain-resistant material that offers a wide range of colors and patterns.
Low-Maintenance: Stain-resistant and never need chemical sealing or reconditioning.
Naturally Nonabsorbent: Mold, mildew, and bacteria have no place to give you a more hygienic environment.
Durable: Quartz is highly resistant to scratches, chips, and cracks, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.
Easy to clean: With its smooth, nonporous surface, quartz can be simply cleaned with warm water, a soft cotton cloth, and mild soap, if desired.
Range of design options: Available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes, quartz adds a heightened look to your home that matches your style.
The cost of quartz varies based on several factors, including the quality of the material, the complexity of the design, and the fabrication process. We have quartz options to fit every budget. We have several for purchase by the square foot so you do not have to pay for the entire slab.
Quartz is very heat resistant but depends on "how hot" the object is. A hot plate from a microwave is typically not a threat, but a 450° pot from the oven can cause damage. It is recommended to use trivets or hot pads under hot pots and pans to prevent thermal shock or discoloration. Direct exposure to high temperatures should be avoided to maintain its beauty and integrity.
Quartz is durable and can take the abuse of a knife cutting on the surface. However, cutting directly on its surface is not recommended. Using a cutting board will help protect the surface from scratches and maintain its polished finish.
Caring for your quartz surfaces is straightforward. By following these simple care instructions, you can ensure that your quartz surfaces remain beautiful and functional for years to come.
Regular Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces with warm, soapy water or a mild detergent using a soft cloth.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Steer clear of abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface.
Immediate Spill Cleanup: Clean spills promptly to prevent staining from acidic substances like lemon juice or vinegar.
